Stories Behind the Uniform
To celebrate May 1st – International Workers’ Day, Velilla launched “Stories Behind the Uniform”: a campaign honoring those who, through daily commitment, quiet responsibility, and a spirit of service, uphold the pillars of our society.
To those who care for us when we are vulnerable. To those who cook for us and guarantee life’s essentials. To those who maintain our infrastructure and build the future every day. To all those people who, from anonymity, make everything work.
The campaign featured an immersive exhibition at the Nuevos Ministerios station in Madrid, where thousands learned about the real stories behind the uniforms.
In addition, El País Semanal published a special feature on exemplary workers — recognized leaders in their sectors — who inspire us with their dedication, humanity, and example.
Because behind every uniform, there's a story worth telling.
The Jobs That Move the World

For over seven decades, Velilla has supported those who make everyday life function. Today, we reinforce our commitment with a visibility campaign that highlights not only what we do — but who we do it for.
This communication initiative sends a strong message: Real work matters. It deserves to be seen, recognized, and valued.
That’s why we’ve taken to the streets, the media, the highways — not just to show our brand, but to represent with pride those who wear it. Those who are always ready — at the construction site, the hospital, the workshop, the warehouse, or the kitchen. Those who never fail.
Every activation of this campaign shares one goal: To highlight the daily effort that — even if often invisible — keeps society going.
This isn’t just about workwear. It’s about attitude. About responsibility. About living up to the demands of real work.
